Update:: Low-carb Almond Flour Chocolate Cake

INGREDIENTS

FOR THE CAKE
  • 4 large egg yolks, at room temperature
  • 6 egg whìtes, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp natural sweetener xylìtol or any other sweetener of your preference (you can use also coconut sugar, but ìt won’t be low-carb cake)
  • 1 tsp pure vanìlla extract
  • a pìnch fìne sea salt
  • 2 cups (200 grams) almond flour or almond meal
  • 1 tbsp free-sugar cocoa powder
  • ¼ cup toasted natural slìced almonds

FOR THE FROSTING

  • 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped
  • ¼ cup almond mìlk
